Application of AL

Hi everyone,



Just wanted to share with you how the UnitedHealthcare SixSigma Faciliation Skills workshop went the week after the Accelerated Learning 'experience' in Lake Geneva.



The car theme that ws originally designed into this 'facilitating meetings' workshop came to life. We had people coming in dancing to 'Car Wash' as a ticket into the workshop. We had stop signs and yield signs posted for atmosphere.



The opening Worst Practices 'Role of the Facilitator' activity immediately followed by the ACTIVE drawing of Best Practices in an analogy to a car (we provided a car frame as a template - they came up with car parts as metaphors of effective faciliator behaviorss - mirror for reflection, stick shift for remaining neutral) went over fantastically. We used the car analogy drawings throughout the workshop to draw the audience back into the Best Practices of an Effective Facilitator.



There is so much to share, bottom line the RAP that culminated into the highlight of the workshop was "I OWN THE PROCESS, THEY OWN THE CONTENT... I OWN THE HOW, THEY OWN THE WHAT!" They danced that out of the workshop and when the 200 folks were asked at the end of the Leaderhip conference to debrief, they were able to repeat the main point of the Facilitation Skills workshop by repeating the wrap.
